Dear La Ballona Families, It’s almost time to begin a new school year together at La Ballona! Our staff is eager to welcome back your children, and will be working hard to help them grow into the best possible versions of themselves. Our goal continues to be creating a school where your children are emotionally, physically, and socially safe to learn and grow.  We want to ensure our school is a place of inclusion and trusting partnerships between staff, families, and students. This year, our theme is All the Flowers of All the Tomorrows are Planted in the Seeds of Today. Everything we do at La Ballona is done with the goal of planting seeds for the future, giving instruction in academics and social skills that will help our students grow. Many of us as adults can think of a time back when we were children, when a teacher or school staff member made an extra effort to help us. These memories stick with us as we grow, and help guide our path. All staff members work hard to give students these positive experiences, planting seeds so that our students can become the “flowers of tomorrow.” Parents are a child’s first teacher. We rely on parents to support us every step of the way. Please stay involved as much as you can with your child’s education, both through informal check-ins with your child, and in more structured ways like by joining our PTA.
